Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc. Hons. Ag) is a 4 year program with 8 semester where basic sciences plus core disciplines of agricultural sciences are taught. In the final
year (last two semesters ) regular courses plus internships are included. The 8th semester is dedicated to internship and students will submit their findings with a seminar. A total of 164 credits is allocated for the program during the four-year period. This includes 104 credits of theory and 60 credits of practical and 10 credits for internship, including thesis.

Dr. Bishnu Prasad Bhattarai is a Professor and Head of Agriculture Program at Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST)/ Purbanchal University and Former Executive Director of National Tea and Coffee Development Board, Government of Nepal. He obtained his Ph.D. in Plant science (Horticulture) from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS)/TU, Nepal and M.Sc. Horticulture from Dr Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan (H.P.) India. More than 17 years’ work experience in the field of Teaching, Research, Policy development and Management. Dr. Bhattarai has more than 17 publications in national and international journals and 3 books.
